Frank Wayne Jones, Jr.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions.” — John 14:2

During the quiet morning hours of September 7, 2026, Frank “Nip” Jones peacefully answered God’s call and entered his eternal home.

Frank was born on November 5, 1969, to his loving mother, Lucille R. Beard, and the late Frank Wayne Jones, Sr. He faithfully attended Mt. Zion Church until his health began to decline.

Affectionately known as “Nip,” he was a joyful and kindhearted man whose jokes and laughter could brighten any room. He had a special gift for making others smile and never missed an opportunity to share a good laugh. Nip enjoyed working on cars, cooking, fishing, and spending time with those he loved.

He leaves precious memories to his son, Brandon Ferguson of Lincolnton, GA; mother, Lucille R. Beard of Lincolnton, GA; sister, Mary E. Jones; niece, Destiny L. Jones; nephew, Quintavious D. Searles; great-niece, Damaiya L. Freeman; great-nephew, Dahmani R. Crite all of Augusta, GA; aunts, Mary E. Williams (John Hamrick) of Lincolnton, GA, Rev. Lucinda Ramsey of Fayetteville, NC, and Pearl N. Mason of Clarksville, TN; an uncle, Harry D. Ramsey; special road buddy, James (Lily) Whigham; and many loving cousins, relatives, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his special friend, Carrie “Pat” Elam.

Although Nip’s earthly journey has ended, the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the memories he created will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
