With heavy hearts, we share that John Lawrence Bradberry, age 70, passed away on March 31, 2025 in Jonesboro, Georgia.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Mulberry CME Church Cemetery (5129 Double Branches Road, Lincolnton, GA 30817).
John will be remembered for his big heart and an even bigger laugh, just as much as he will for his love of the Dallas Cowboys and mastering of technology. He spent his career programming computers and developing software for companies including AT&T and the Coca-Cola Company. John was a proud graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he was also a chairman of the Electrical Engineering Society, followed by the Georgia Institute of Technology.
John was born on November 3, 1954 in Texas to James Bradberry and Beulah Bradberry. He was married to his devoted wife, Judith Bradberry, for 45 years. Judi sadly passed away soon after him on April 18, 2025.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joyce Marie Woods.
John is survived by his daughter, Adriane Bradberry. He is also survived by his sister Wanda Bradberry David and his brothers Arthur Bradberry and Gerald Bradberry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In honor of John, please consider donating to the National Museum of African American History and Culture; he was a charter member: https://nmaahc.si.edu/.
