Kevin Witherspoon

Kevin Witherspoon was born on May 4, 1969, in New York City, New York, to the late Manning Witherspoon and Janie Bell Bolton Witherspoon. He peacefully departed this life on July 10, 2026, at his residence in Lincolnton, Georgia.

Kevin was educated in the Queens, New York, Public School System and graduated with the Class of 1987. Throughout his life, he worked various jobs before later becoming disabled. In 1988, he and his mother relocated to Lincolnton, Georgia. After returning to New York in 2005, Kevin moved back to Georgia in 2016 to help care for his mother.

In 2018, Kevin met the love of his life, Vernel Elizabeth Parker, and they were united in marriage on June 29, 2019. Together they were blessed with a daughter, Jada, who brought great joy to his life.

Kevin enjoyed listening to music, especially the songs of The Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie Smalls) and Lena Horne. He treasured spending time with his family, never met a stranger, and appreciated the quiet moments that brought him peace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manning Witherspoon and Janie Bell Bolton Witherspoon, and his brother, Leroy Bolton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Vernel Elizabeth Parker Witherspoon; his beloved daughter, Jada; one aunt, Nancy Hawes; and a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember his kindness and gentle spirit.
