Maeosie Norman Cullars was lovingly ushered into this world on May 9, 1944, in Wilkes County, Georgia, born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Annie Laura Hudson) Norman, Sr. She was the third of ten children blessed to this union. On Tuesday morning, January 13, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family in her Washington, Georgia home, Maeosie peacefully answered the Master’s call and entered eternal rest.

From an early age, Maeosie was nurtured in faith and community. She was educated in the Wilkes County School System, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by service, compassion, and love. Maeosie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and maintained a devoted relationship with the Lord throughout her life. She faithfully worshiped at Prices Grove Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Georgia, where her faith was strengthened and shared with others.

In 1962, Maeosie was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Robert Willie Cullars. Their union was blessed with seven children and anchored in love, commitment, and faith. Maeosie had a genuine passion for people, a gift she poured into her career in healthcare, serving others with tenderness, patience, and a servant’s heart.

Maeosie was known for her warm spirit and joyful presence. She loved to sing, to laugh, and to fellowship with others. Her outgoing nature made everyone she encountered feel welcomed, embraced, and treated like family. Her life was a living testimony of kindness, hospitality, and God’s love in action.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband, Robert Willie “Flat” Cullars; her beloved children, Robert Cullars, Margaret Cullars, Deetris Yvonne Cullars, and Mildred Cullars; and her siblings, Christine Blackwell, Louise Allen, Justine Parks, Henry Norman, Jr., James Norman, and Robert Norman.

Maeosie leaves to cherish her precious memories three devoted daughters: Patricia (Anthony) Harper of Elberton, Georgia; Barbara (Donald) Nicholson, and Rev. Marilyn (Benjamin) Parks, both of Lincolnton, Georgia; She also leaves a granddaughter, whom was raised in her home as a devoted daughter, Crystal Elam of Washington, Georgia; five other loving grandchildren, Samantha Holmes, DJ Reynolds, Lyneishia Watts, Reginald Cullars, and Jacquez Cullars; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wynomia (Howard, Sr.) Bradley of Tignall, Georgia, and Mabel Smith of Rayle, Georgia; one supporting brother, Charles Norman of Tampa, Florida; her cherished in-laws, Mary Lee Brown of Lincolnton, Georgia, and Geneva (Gus) Ryals of Baxley, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to celebrate her life and legacy.

Though she has laid down her earthly burdens, Maeosie’s spirit lives on through the love she shared, the faith she modeled, and the lives she touched. “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”
