Mr. Robert Willis Beard, Jr. was born on May 26, 1947, in Lincolnton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Robert Willis Beard, Sr. and the late Mrs. Estell Harris Beard. On the early morning of Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, he peacefully completed his earthly journey at his residence.
From an early age, Robert accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Antioch CME Church, placing his trust in God as the ultimate navigator of his life’s path. He was educated in the Lincoln County School System, where he began developing the work ethic and determination that would guide him throughout his years.
Robert spent much of his life on the open road, faithfully working in the transportation industry as a truck driver. Behind the wheel, he carried more than cargo—he carried responsibility, perseverance, and pride in honest work. Day after day, mile after mile, he answered the call to provide, to show up, and to keep moving forward. The road was his workplace, and dedication was his fuel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Maudell Cullars, Freddie Beard, Alice Turner, Jim Michael Beard, and Susan Beard.
Though his earthly route has come to an end, his legacy continues in the lives of those he loved. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted life partner, Adell Davis of the home; four children, Faye Beard of Atlanta, Georgia, Kizzy Davis and Chris Davis of Lincolnton, Georgia, and Adrienne Eades of Washington, Georgia; three sisters, Jeanette Acree and Robbie Beard, both of Washington, Georgia, and Brenda Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Jerry (Jean) Beard of Augusta, Georgia; one aunt, Annie Ruth Freeman of Lincolnton, Georgia; one uncle, JB Beard of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Though the road behind him is now complete, Robert has reached his final destination—resting safely in the arms of the Lord. His journey was well traveled, his load well carried, and his race faithfully run.
