The Final Ride of Toninshina Rochelle Crite

Toninshina Rochelle Crite, the oldest child of Ms. Evelyn Crite, began her life’s journey on October 4, 1971, in Lincolnton, Georgia. After many miles traveled along life’s highways, Toninshina reached her final destination on Thursday, February 19, 2026, when the angels came to escort her home from Wellstar MCG Health Center.

From an early age, Toninshina chose Christ as her guide and joined First Baptist Church in Lincolnton, GA, where her spiritual journey began. She attended Lincoln County Schools and proudly graduated with the Class of 1990.

Toninshina was always a hard-working driver on life’s road — dedicated, steady, and reliable. She worked at various plants as a machine operator before finding a long route of service with Mohawk Industries in Abbeville, SC, where she spent over 15 years before her health led her to take a well-earned rest.

Beyond her professional work, Toninshina wore many hats — but none fit her better than that of a friend, family chauffeur, and trusted Uber driver around Lincoln County. Whether giving rides across town, picking up a loved one, or simply sharing laughs during the journey, Toninshina made every trip special. She loved good food, great company, and the joy of connecting with people along the way.

As her earthly route came to an end, she was greeted at Heaven’s station by her grandparents, Hunkin and Mattie Crite, who had been waiting to welcome her home.

Those who continue traveling this journey in her memory include her loving mother, Evelyn Crite, of the home; her devoted stepfather of over 30 years, James Ferguson; her beloved sister, Tomeka A. (Stanley) Johnson of Lincolnton, GA; her cherished niece, Takera Gresham of Lincolnton, GA; along with a caravan of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Toninshina has now parked her car, turned off the engine, and turned the keys over to her Master Driver. Her ride is complete, and her destination—Heaven—is reached.
