Weems Isaac Hawes, affectionately known as "Baggaman," passed away at his residence on December 22, 2025, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on July 18, 1959, in Lincolnton, Georgia, he spent his life dedicated to the construction field, taking on a variety of odd jobs that showcased his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Weems was more than just a hard worker; he was a vibrant personality with a flair for fashion, often seen proudly donning three-piece suits and a stylish hat adorned with a feather, strutting with a playful "pimp walk." He loved engaging with others, whether through heartfelt conversations or assisting friends and family with repairs around their homes. His genuine love for people was evident, particularly when he spent time with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and inspiration.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Catrina (Fendjy) Moise and Jessica Norman, and his son, Yeshua Caesar Alexander (Fiancé’, Brandy Castillo). Weems treasured his nine grandchildren, filling his heart with pride as he watched each of them grow. He shared a special bond with his brother, Mitchell (Polly) Hawes, and was surrounded by a loving family composed of three aunts, Alma Key, Annie Anthony, and Pearl McCord, as well as three uncles, Charlie Murray, Irvin Murray, and Douglas Murray. Moreover, Weems held a significant place in the lives of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whose lives he touched deeply.

Weems was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. (Rosa Mary Murray) Hawes, who instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and community.

As we say our goodbyes to a remarkable soul, we are reminded of the laughter, love, and light that Weems brought into our lives. His spirit will undoubtedly continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
